“He must increase, but I must decrease.” -John 3:30
Lisa Hager, a Braselton, GA-based and Birmingham, AL-native artist, uses experimentation with textures, techniques and tools as a means to create for the purpose of illuminating and sharing the glory of God with all who may view her work. With some formal training, but mostly a penchant and gift for learning and creating through solo artistic trial and development, Lisa’s art style and subject matter is ever-evolving and expanding. In a shift from portraiture to focusing on her investigation in the world of abstract painting, Lisa achieves work that thoughtfully and meticulously incorporates religious ideas and symbolism, eager to provoke deep-thinking and display correlation to any viewer’s journey. As she grows both artistically and spiritually, day-by-day she aims to rely more on God’s hand than her own.
And who can deny that the political environment isn't a ton of fun at the moment... so in keeping with the fun and conspiracies, there is a Political Paintings Page - NinthHourArt...Enjoy!
